gokula have hatha yoga classes $10 on tuesdays...
wikipedia says (among other things) that

The signs of success in hatha yoga are slenderness of the body, cheerful face, hearing mystical sound, bright eyes, sense of well-being, control over the bindu, increase in gastric fire and purification of the nadis.

now how could any of that be bad?

Brushes
Brushes has a simple yet powerful UI (unlike SketchBook Pro), and is often considered the best app for digital painting. This app's toolbar is located at the bottom of the screen and includes a color picker, eye dropper tool, paint bucket, brushes, brush properties and an eraser. On the bottom right of the screen, users can redo or undo any action and have direct access to all of their layers. Because this app was developed specificly for painters, the advanced and accurate brush features and capabilities are impressive but not surprising. It is awesome.

Palettes make it easy for anybody to create a color palette anywhere at anytime. You can grab colors from a photograph, website, or any one of 5 color models offered. And if you are really serious about color, definitely consider paying the extra dough for the Pro version.
One of the best features of the pro version is that it allows you to Import and Export palettes to and from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks, GIMP, Paintshop Pro and OS X Color Chooser. This app is a must have for graphic and web designers.

Rulers 2
We all know the importance of accuracy, and so does Rulers 2, which has given us the tools to be accurate and on point everywhere we go. Available for your iPhone and your iPad, this app will turn your mobile device into a handy measuring tool. Rulers 2 features a pointer with a digital readout, so all you have to do is line up the device with what you are measuring, and poof! a precise measurement is at your finger tips. Literally.
The added beauty of this app is that you actually get a pointer with a digital readout. This means that all you have to do is line up the device with whatever you are trying to measure and you will get the precise measurement instantly. This measurement will be displayed in inches--complete with fractions--or in centimetres with decimals, depending on which option you choose.

travel all over the countryside (2)

i blogged this title on evilmonika, about vws travel all over the countryside (1)

but memories of the leylands justify its continued use

saw this car bonnet in the middle of exhibition street some time ago, and i love it!

hee hee

had this idea, if we ever get a bus or a 4wd and travel all over the countryside ourselves, or around australia, we could call the vehicle van der hum... get it, van der hum.

probably thought of this because the jvg radio method had the wandering theme last sunday and they played that dumb valderee song (the happy wanderer?)

van der hum winning the 1976 melbourne cup

i loved the name van der hum when i was seven - it sounded mysterious to me.

some FAQ, like Why Purchase A Tubular Daylighting Device?
**It provides exceptional lighting. The light output is incredible, providing as much light as you would expect from a skylight many times its size.
**It is cost-effective. Tubular Daylighting Devices cost considerably less than other daylighting options, such as windows and skylights, including both product and installation costs.
Installing it is fast, clean and easy. They require no structural reframing, tunneling, drywalling or painting. A professional can install the product in less than two hours and most Do-It-Yourselfers can finish the project in one day.
**It can go almost anywhere. The compact and flexible design of TDDs allow them to be installed in just about any room, including rooms without direct roof access and smaller spaces where daylighting would usually not be an option.
**It is “Green.” TDDs allow you to switch off electric lights during the day, which provides savings on energy bills and also reduces environmental pollution.
**It is actually good for you. It has been shown in several prominent studies that increasing daily exposure to natural light can enhance mental and physical well-being, boost concentration and energy levels and a variety of other unexpected perks.
