Visitors to ‘Portrait of Spain’ are invited to experience the vibrancy of Spanish history and contemporary design, food and culture in La Sala del Prado — a large-scale lounge environment complementing the exhibition.

From 31 August 2012, the Queensland Art Gallery is open late on Friday nights during Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado, the first ever collection from Madrid's esteemed Museo Nacional del Prado (the Prado) to visit Australia. Offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the Portrait of Spain exhibition after hours, Prado Up Late also features weekly talks, live music performances, and Spanish cuisine.

Be inspired by La Sala del Prado, a large-scale lounge environment complementing the exhibition featuring interactive spaces that reflect cutting edge contemporary Spanish design.
Take in the exhibition and join friends for a drink or bite to eat in one of the many Spanish themed barslocated in the Gallery, including the La Sala del Prado.
Drop in to our weekly Contemporary Talks series and hear guest speakers share their perspectives on Spanish fashion, food and design, relating to art works on display.
Complete the evening with live music from a range of local, national and international performers, in the spectacular setting of the Gallery's Watermall.
