valdereee ....

a bushwalk every fortnight or so, alternating with long bike rides
(start of a life plan, any way)
first walk, somewhere north of melbourne - near mount macedon, perhaps
and here's another one! we can visit my mummy at the same time
down at flinders on the mornington peninsula, tea tree creek bay walk (as seen on bob's bushwalking site!) looks lovely, especially on a warm autumn day
bob says:
Tea Tree Creek Bay is a wonderful secluded cove on the Flinders coast, 90 km from Melbourne, in the Mornington Peninsula National Park. It is about 3 km west of the town of Flinders, and is accessed by a 1 km foot-track and staircase from the Boneo Rd. A small car park is located at the start of the signposted track. There are magnificent views looking south across the open ocean of Bass Strait, as well as the dramatic coastlines from the clifftop, in either direction, with waves breaking over large basalt rock formations.
thanks, Bob! (i think this is possibly the blowhole track - not sure! not it's NOT. bob has a google map - it's further west than the blowhole track) it's very close to the wonderful "golf course drive" just outside flinders, though.

shoe love, i'm sure these would look nifty at the end of my legs as i walked (or cycled!) along, peach/pink on grey; navy/yellow
still researching appropriate "knapsacks on my back"

feeding the soul, nourishing the body

i am reading a book about how modern diets are akin to starvation - we put lots of food in our mouths, but much of this food is stripped of nutrients so what goes in are empty calories we store as fat, but the body still thinks it's starving.

how to give the body the nourishment it needs:

plumbing

as well as having our drain unblocked, our hot water restored and our gas heater fixed
our plumber (brett's plumbing) was able to advise on the following:
  • drink sea salt (salt of the earth) and lemon juice in a litre of water (ph balanced) to get energised and de-toxed in the morning
  • earnest bean company in collingwood makes excellent japanese-standard tofu
  • chinese medicine (it's been around 10,000 years) is the best way to care for your body (May Wang Natural Medical Centre, 72 Normanby Ave, Thornbury, VIC 3071 Northcote VIC ph 94168624
  • cell food - 5-6 drops in a litre of water, helps at a cellular level
  • zeo one - negatively charged, energising - A natural volcanic ash which is essentially a negatively charged honeycomb like ‘cage’ structure capable of attracting and electro-chemically bonding with toxic minerals and metals such as lead, copper, aluminium, cadmium, nickel and arsenic for safe natural removal from the body. Clinoptilolite is a safe “alumino- silicate”, also capable of assisting the transportation of desirable and beneficial nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, potassium , sodium and iron to parts of the body where they are needed most. Therefore Zeo1 helps to make advantageous nutrients and minerals more readily ‘bio-available’ while helping to eliminate harmful others.
  • you need an ioniser to transform positive ions into negative (from himalayan rock salt lamps to dinky usbs, to space age units to calm old people)

chakra action

time to stretch and breathe back into yoga

a couple of places
gokula house - corner of smith and mater streets up near alexandra pde
stretch & relax yoga sessions on tues & wed evenings, 6.30-8 pm, $10
gertrude st yoga studio, healing centre - gertrude st next door to deans art, casual $17, 10 classes $150, beginners classes $160 for 10 week course
city yoga/shadow yoga in melbourne, corner of queensberry and leicester streets, 10 classes $140 or casual $18 - pricey and last time I went here it was really crowded, so i think the only option is saturdays for the beginners classes, 10-11 am, maybe after the market - also just round the corner from 7 seeds cafeterium though yoga and coffee don't mix really
there's also merri yoga

anyway soon start stretching and breathing...
